Milwaukee Recreation has announced the opening of registration for its summer activities, offering a diverse range of programs for all ages and abilities. As stated by Milwaukee Recreation, "Milwaukee Recreation provides fun and affordable activities for all ages and abilities." The department encourages participants to explore the wide array of programs available, including aquatics, cooking, fitness, outdoor education, music, martial arts, sports leagues & activities, and more.

Emphasizing their commitment to inclusivity, Milwaukee Recreation stated, "Milwaukee Recreation is committed to creating and promoting inclusion within all facilities and programs that the department manages." The department has established an Inclusion Services Policy and accompanying practices to ensure that everyone can access the benefits of quality parks and recreation.

For individuals requiring accommodations to fully participate in a recreation class, Milwaukee Recreation has provided a mechanism to request assistance. According to the department, individuals can "submit an ADA Accommodation Request by clicking this link: ADA Accommodation Request / Inclusion Complaint Form." Upon submission, a member of the Recreation team will reach out to discuss specific accommodation needs prior to the class's commencement. It is important to note that Milwaukee Recreation requires a two-week processing period for accommodation requests.

As summer approaches, Milwaukee residents are encouraged to take advantage of the diverse and inclusive recreational opportunities offered by Milwaukee Recreation.
